Our performance video of the week is… The Volga Boatmen from Russia. This song is a favorite in Russian and known all over the world to tell the story of the men who operate the boats on the Volga river. Check out the traditional instruments behind the singer – especially the huge balalaika (stringed instrument) – almost as large as the person who is playing it!
